The Lumex Extra Wide Drop-Arm Clinical Care Recliner by Graham Field is a spacious clinical recliner designed for patient comfort, positioning, and easier lateral transfers in clinical, acute-care, bariatric, and rehabilitation environments. The FR587WD supports up to 450 lb (204.12 kg) evenly distributed and features an extra-wide 24-inch seat, a 26.5-inch space between the arms, and a 33.5-inch back height above the seat. Its self-storing drop arms provide convenient access for lateral transfers between beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and other adjacent surfaces. The recliner provides three patient comfort positions—upright, first recline, and second/full recline—plus a caregiver-activated Trendelenburg or shock position. Dual gas cylinders assist with smooth Trendelenburg movement, while five-inch Tente casters provide maneuverability and include three total-locking casters and one directional-locking caster. Two self-storing, fold-down side tables offer convenient surfaces and smooth construction for easier cleaning. For additional flexibility, the FR587WD is available with WallSaver armrest caps or fully upholstered arms, as well as optional heat-and-massage or heat-only configurations.
