The FR566DG features innovative self-storing drop arms that lower to facilitate easier lateral transfers between a bed, wheelchair, stretcher, or adjacent surface. It provides three patient comfort positions—upright, first recline, and second recline—plus a caregiver-activated Trendelenburg position operated by convenient side pedals. The recliner features a wide, contoured seat and back, integrated leg and footrest, wide soft armrests, two self-storing fold-down side tables, removable upholstered side panels, and a rear push handle. Five-inch Tente swivel casters, including three total-locking and one directional-locking caster, provide maneuverability and secure positioning. The recline-position lock allows the caregiver to secure the recliner in any of the three primary positions. The fourth position is the Trendelenburg, or shock, position. The Trendelenburg position is caregiver activated using the red color-coded side pedals. The pedals are positioned so the caregiver can operate the mechanism while maintaining visual contact with the patient.
