This bag is very nice and I like it over all. Good size easy access as advertised. Took a while to get it lined up and if your using a smart drive you got to put the smart drive on first and then the bag. With the bag coming with a separate holder that can be a challenge to get it realign but nothing you can't get used to. Not sure it is worth the money even though it is well made. We will see if i have to replace anything and when. If it last longer then my traditional backpack I will say it was worth the money.

This is by far the best wheelchair backpack I've ever used. I waffled on buying it for ~8 months and regret not getting it sooner. The magnets drift across the strap over time, but that's easy to readjust and not a deal-breaker. It holds my laptop, a few groceries, whatever I need to cart around with me. I've taken it on four trips since purchasing it, and it handles travel very well. The magnetic system is clever and holds securely.

The biggest issue I've had with the HandyBag is the rigidity of the outer shell, on my folding chair. The safest way to transport it is to remove the outer shell before folding the chair, but dismantling the chair to load is a minimum of five steps already, on a good day. Folding it with the shell still on the chair works for a while, but the hardware slowly loosens and pops out. I'm going to try repairing it with zip ties instead of more nuts and bolts first, to see if that gives it some added flexibility. It would really be nice to see the same backpack, with a little give in the width, so it behaves more smoothly with a folder. Anyone using a rigid chair should not run into this problem.

Even with that, though, if it were to disappear tomorrow, I would reorder one as soon as I could afford it.

I vacillated on buying this bag for a while. It's a lot of money and I don't receive assistance at all. After several months and not seeing a single negative review I decided to go for it.

Some things to consider:

Putting anything on the back of your chair, even something as light as this empty bag, will throw off your center and also make inclines slightly more challenging. I found this to be true for this bag and needed to adjust the power/force I use to be able to navigate successfully.

Also, the shell for the bag DOES need to be assembled and mine did NOT come with the device to tighten the screws. Also, I found myself wishing for 2 more hands as I wrestled the shell into place and attempted to screw together the bits. I have mild difficulty with my fine motor skills and I found this task nearly impossible by myself. (I live alone with no helpers, so no one to do it for me)

THEN, 3hrs after I got the thing all set and situated on my chair one of the magnetic clips completely falls off and is nowhere to be found. I called in about this and Andrew was great about calling back and mailing me out an extra clip. But then, again, I was left using my less than stellar fine motor skills to assemble a bag. Sigh. Eventually, success. And I tightened those things so tight that I dont think they'll ever come off again. I recommend doing this right from the get go.

Then I FINALLY get to use this thing at work! I am SO excited! Half way through my work day though I realize that the shell has lost its screws and is like... knocking everything around behind me. Awesome, right? Today I go to my local hardware store and they, for $1.50, fixed it by installing some locking screws and washers of some sort.

All that's left for me to figure out is the positioning of the magnetic clasps. They tend to glide around which makes it a little cumbersome at times. Im going to take it to my adaptive tech place and help me troubleshoot this issue.

I'm wishing that there was more thought put into these details. The bag isn't super setup friendly (and that's being polite!) for a single person with mild fine motor issues. And the screws came lose. And you definitely need to tighten the magnetic clasps on IMMEDIATELY upon receiving the bag.

Do I love this bag? Yes. It's a MUCH better concept than others that I've tried. But I am frustrated on the oversight of little details that made my first week of owning the bag so much more difficult than it should have been. And if I were doing it again I'd still buy it but at a lower price point. If you're going to charge a community that NEEDS tech like these so much for a bag it ought to be perfection. Because of these issues I give 4 stars.

How lucky am I to have this incredible wheelchair bag system! Great size, super compartments and stylish look!

The Dynamic Handy bag wheelchair backpack is a completely new take on a how you use a backpack in a wheelchair. Usually they are big enough and heavy enough that it is a little hard to get the backpack quickly off the backrest canes and into your lap where you can see and easily search for something. So you end up blindly searching around behind your back digging deep into several pockets to find a wallet, catheter, keys etc.. This usually ends up with you frantically feeling not quick enough and as if people are waiting for you to pay or open the car, what ever the situation may be. Then, because you were feeling rushed you ended up leaving the backpack unzipped and open. This then leaves you open to people stealing from you or more likely you just feeling embarrassed, when someone finally says just so you know your back pack is wide open. You then think has everyone been staring at my catheters and medication, was my wallet close to falling out or being grabbed?

So why is the handy Bag so great, Well for the first time ever the bag has little wings with really great locking magnets that will simply only release when pulled forward. So it's not just a magnet on the wing it is a Fidlock. So when you want to use it you grab the wings slightly pull forward and they both unlock and allow you to swing the bag into your lap in 1 sec. The wings make it really easy to grab, because they rap around right by your sides, but the magnets keep them perfectly in the same place every time and so that they are not hanging out or ever touching your arms as your push. Once in your lap you can use the perfect size bag for everything I need and then use the wings to quickly and easily guide the bag back into the Handy Bag Carrier on the back of your chair. This light weight carrier holds the bag and protects it from snow, rain, dirt, spills etc.. Even more no one can see into your backpack even if left open, no one can get into your bag and grab anything , so you feel safe and protected as well.

So , that is why I love my new Handy Bag, it is easy to use. Used functionally and finally in my lap, then away and safe from embarrassment and pick pockets.

Lastly, I have had under chair carriers and they are nice but if my bladder is full the last thing I want to be doing is bending over forward and digging around under my chair. If you know what I mean.
I definitely recommend getting a handy bag, it is super high quality, really nice zippers with durable zipper pulls good for quads as well. Enjoy, yours soon.

The handy bag has been a game changer in my daily routine. The bag is easily accessible and I LOVE the compartments. They help me keep my personal belongings organized. I am no longer in the check out line embarrassed of my struggle to get to my wallet, I can independently and smoothly grab the bag and bring it right onto my lap where everything is visible. The carrier provides nice protection when I get caught in the rain. I never think twice about getting something I need from my backpack anymore!

Some of my biggest problems in life are some of the smallest. When it comes to reaching for things, like my wallet or catheter supplies when I'm in a hurry (if you know what I mean) time is of the essence. The HandyBag allows easy access to your bag in seconds so its out in front of you on your lap. Your not fighting with your backpack struglling to get into it and then scrounging for supplies or bending over and underneath your chair putting pressure on an already full bladder to reach for a catheter or supplies. Best of all its awesomly designed to look cool and it comes in colors to match you, your chair and your lifestyle. Don't take my word for it buy your own and have it change your life too.

I have to have a bag on the back of my chair, but I never realized how getting into my bag was so annoying until the Handy Bag! It's so simple and digging something out of my bag (which I do 50 times a day) is SO much easer! Love it!

My arms would constantly be bruised when I would have to use them to turn my body to try and dig through my backpack. With the handy bag, there is no more twisting around and blind digging! I can finally easily slide the bag out and put it in my lap, find what I need and then easily put it back in the holder on the back of my chair. I'm also not worried about pickpockets since the zippers are inside the holder. Excellent purchase for me.
