The Lumex Preferred Care® Recliner Series, Drop-Arm by Graham Field, is a versatile healthcare recliner designed for patient comfort, positioning, and easier lateral transfers. The FR565DG combines the features of the Preferred Care Recliner with innovative self-storing, height-adjustable drop arms that allow caregivers to lower the armrests when transferring a resident between the recliner and another surface. Its patented infinite-position recline mechanism provides positioning from approximately 95° to 145°, and the caregiver can lock the back in any desired position.
The recliner features a self-adjusting suspension system that cradles the resident from head to heel, wide padded armrests and side panels for comfort, and a durable epoxy-coated welded-steel frame for easy cleaning and maintenance. Quick-release upholstery simplifies cleaning, removal, and replacement, while the vinyl-upholstered back resists sulfide stains, mildew, and oil.

The patented Lumex 565 recline mechanism provides infinite positioning between approximately 95° and 145°. The caregiver can lock the back in the desired position. Self-Adjusting Suspension

5-inch casters
The caster configuration consists of 2 rear swivel casters with wheel locks and 2 fixed front wheels. The directional wheel lock on the right rear caster helps reduce "crabbing" and allows the recliner to be moved down hallways with less effort.

This type of chair is a welcome addition to our home-care needs for our bed-bound mother. It is aesthetically pleasing and very functional. It is firm and she prefers to be in the chair for only short periods at a time. But the transfer to and from bed is much better than expected due to the high seat and collapsable arms. I do find the wheels to be problematic when moving over area rugs. But overall it is a good product

My husband has advanced Alzheimers. The company was pleasant to deal with. The chair is nice but I noted a few concerns. The seat frame upon which the seat cushion rests is made of stretchy elastics so while this provides for comfort I have already noticed when we sit my husband the fabric can stretch and allow him to make contact with the metal frame underneath. He is only 140 pounds so this could be issue for those who do not lower themselves or are heavy weighted. The chair has a lot of comfortable covering and doesn’t hurt his arms or legs. The foot area touches the floor when fully upright causing it to drag across the floors a little when being moved and this to me seems unsanitary in a facility environment and could be an issue getting across carpet as we have all tile. The caster wheels push nicely on the tile and turn very well on the tile. The release for recline is infinite position and engages easily and locks easily. I bought the anti tip wheels and feel in a full reclined position it requires anti tip for safety. It fits through my homes doorways easily. Overall it is nice and comfortable but I am afraid of long term use the fabric elastics will become stretched out or compromised.
