The Extra Wide Clinical Care Recliner is ideal for clinical, acute care, and bariatric settings. This recliner provides patients more space than the other recliners while providing excellent value that maximizes patient comfort, product durability, and ease of use. It features patient comfort and support in all three positions: upright, first recline and second recline. Plus Trendelenburg position activated by a rear mounted release lever with dual gas cylinders for smooth assist during movement. Fold down side tables with smooth surfaces and removable side panels for easy cleaning.

The recliner has a 24-inch seat width, providing additional seating space for larger patients compared with standard clinical recliners. Graham Field specifically designed the Extra-Wide Clinical Care Recliner for larger residents and patients.
The Chair supports up to 450 lb (204.12 kg) when the weight is evenly distributed across the recliner. This evenly distributed-capacity requirement is important when specifying the product for patient-care applications.
Two gas cylinders provide smooth power assistance for back-position adjustment, reclining, and Trendelenburg activation. This reduces the physical effort required by caregivers when changing the chair's position.
The recliner includes two self-storing fold-down side tables. The tables provide a convenient surface for supplies and preparation materials. Fold down when needed. Store against the chair when not required. Have smooth surfaces designed for easier cleaning. Sit flush with the chair arms in their stored position. When both tables are raised, the overall width increases to approximately 53.5 inches.
The wide, soft armrests are designed to improve patient comfort while providing support during sitting and reclining.
The side panels can be removed to provide easier access to the recliner for cleaning, maintenance, and component servicing.
A rear push handle provides caregivers with a convenient point for moving the recliner through the facility.
The directional lock helps reduce unwanted sideways movement or "crabbing" while the recliner is being pushed down a hallway. The locking system provides flexibility for both stationary patient use and caregiver-assisted transport.
Designed for durability and ease of cleaning and disinfection. It has high-density foam in the seat, back, and armrests and notes that upholstery components can be replaced if they become worn or damaged.

Highly Recommended!
I purchased this Geri Chair for my 89-year old mother who resides at an Assisted Living Facility. Although I have not been able to see it person because of COVID-19, one of the staff members was kind enough to take pictures of it. I have to add that this product is a special order and can take up to four weeks to arrive; therefore, do not pay the extra money for it to arrive between 3-5 days. On-line ordering does not mention that the product is a special order.

Well made chair. Good height for adult to sit down and get up with minimal assistance. The company is responsive to assist with questions and concerns. My husband loved a chair exactly like this in an infusion clinic but when a new one arrived at home, he was felt it was different and not as comfortable. Perhaps the clinic chair was worn-in better. He especially doesnt like that he cannot adjust the chair himself. His memory was that he could adjust the clinic chair. It is a wonderful chair with the trays, the easy movement wheels, the many positions, but we have decided not to buy another chair until he is first able to go sit in it himself
