Great engineering though I wish the connecting rod was aluminum like the rest of the mechanism

BOA Brakes by Spinal Life
After three weeks of use, I definitely recommend the BOA Brakes by Spinal Life.
Took me less than an hour to mount and position them, but once the clamps were tightened (requires a 3/16” Allen wrench) they are rock-solid secure.
They are very easy to engage and absolutely keep my wheels from turning.
Releasing the brakes requires a bit more strength than setting them.
While my D’s Locks (broken cable, can’t repair) were easier and quieter to set and release, the BOA Brakes by Spinal Life have proven to be very good replacements - and are lighter in weight and considerably less expensive. -
Boa Wheelchair Brakes
These brakes are amazing and are worth every dollar. I had the TI Lite plastic brakes that my wheelchair came with and to replace the poorly made TI Lite brakes is almost the same price as these very durable, well made set of brakes. I doubt I will be needing a new set of brakes for a long time, but if and when I do I will be ordering another set of these. Highly recommended!! You will wonder why you ever put up with the plastic set.

Strong durable set of brakes.
I used these brakes to replace the brakes on my TiLite wheelchair which were constantly breaking and needing replacement. These brakes are made of metal not plastic like the brakes TiLite provides with their wheelchairs and have held up to heavy use with no damage or loss of function. Additionally they provide solid stopping function and keep my wheelchair in place when applied.
