Quickie SR45 Tilt-in-space Wheelchair by Sunrise Medical Buyer’s Guide
The Quickie SR45 Tilt-in-space Wheelchair by Sunrise Medical is a specialized heavy-duty mobility solution designed for individuals requiring advanced pressure management and positioning assistance. Engineered with a focus on durability and clinical efficacy, this wheelchair provides alternative seating angles to enhance comfort and support physiological health. Its robust design ensures long-term structural integrity while accommodating a wide range of custom seating adjustments.
Quickie Intelligent Tilt-in-space Mechanics
The core technology of this mobility system lies in its specialized tilt-in-space mechanical design. Unlike traditional recliners that alter the seat-to-back angle, this system rotates the entire seat frame up to 45 degrees while maintaining a constant hip angle. This specific movement helps redistribute body weight from the pelvis to the back, significantly reducing the risk of pressure sores and improving overall circulation for users who spend extended periods in a sitting position.
Sunrise Medical Engineering and Frame Durability
Built with high-quality materials synonymous with Sunrise Medical engineering, the frame is designed to handle consistent daily use while ensuring maximum stability. The structural layout ensures that the wheelchair maintains a compact footprint even when fully tilted, making it easier to maneuver through standard doorways and residential spaces. The low seat-to-floor height options also facilitate easier transfers and improve access to tables or desks.
SR45 Advanced Pressure Relief and Positioning
Effective postural management is simplified through the precise engineering of the SR45 model. By allowing caregivers to alter the tilt angle easily, the wheelchair assists in managing gravity-assisted positioning, reducing forward sliding, and improving head and upper-body control. This targeted pressure relief is essential for users with limited trunk stability or those dealing with complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Customizable Components for Tailored Patient Care
To accommodate the diverse physical requirements of different users, the wheelchair offers highly adaptable components. The seat depth, backrest height, and footrest configurations can be altered to match individual body measurements precisely. This adaptability ensures that the wheelchair can grow with a user or be reconfigured by clinicians to meet changing medical and therapeutic needs over time.
Caregiver-Friendly Operation and Transit Safety
The manual tilt mechanism is designed for smooth, effortless operation by caregivers, utilizing a dual-trigger hand control system that requires minimal physical effort. Additionally, the frame is engineered to meet rigorous safety standards for transportation, making it suitable for secure transit in adapted vehicles. This combination of user comfort and caregiver convenience makes it an excellent choice for both home care and clinical settings.
