Hoyer Slide Sheets Specifications 

1. Small Size Small slide sheets are to be used under the resident’s feet, along with a large slide sheet, when moving a resident in a prone position.
2. Medium Size Medium slide sheets are to be used for positioning the resident’s hips and mid-section. Medium slide sheets can also be used for repositioning on smaller and/or shorter residents in the prone position.
3. Large Size Large slide sheets are to be used for lateral repositioning of average to tall residents in the prone position.

Why Hoyer Slide Sheets do not have handles:

• Handles promote poor ergonomic posture by forcing the caregiver to grip the slide sheet by handle

• Handles have the potential of harboring infectious bacteria

• High temperature washing and drying can cause handles to distort or shrink, making the handles difficult to use
