Everest & Jennings Bariatric Transport Chair by Graham Field
The Everest & Jennings Bariatric Transport Chair is designed as an affordable bariatric patient transfer device and is known for its extra width. This transport chair combines extra capacity in addition to compact transport needs. Handle-mounted attendant locks make it easy for a companion to engage.

The Everest & Jennings® Bariatric Transport Chair by Graham Field provides dependable caregiver-assisted mobility with a spacious 24-inch seat and a 400 lb evenly distributed weight capacity. Its lightweight aluminum dual-crossbrace frame combines bariatric strength with convenient portability, while the fold-down back and built-in carry straps make transportation and storage easier. The chair features padded flame-retardant nylon upholstery, flip-back desk-length arms, detachable swingaway footrests, 12-inch flat-free rear wheels, 8-inch swivel front casters, and convenient handle-mounted attendant wheel locks. A 42-inch positioning belt is included for additional positioning support. With a 31 lb chair weight without front rigging, HCPCS E1039 coding, and a 3-year limited warranty, the EJ777-3 is designed for home care, healthcare, assisted-living, and caregiver-assisted patient transportation.
Graham Field Bariatric Aluminum Transport Chair Features
The chair uses a gusseted aluminum frame with a dual-crossbrace design. The frame has a silver epoxy-painted finish that provides a durable exterior while keeping the chair relatively lightweight for its bariatric capacity.
The 24-inch seat is one of the chair's primary bariatric features. It provides substantially more seating width than standard transport chairs while maintaining a relatively compact folded width.
The maximum user weight is 400 lb, evenly distributed. This specification applies to the complete chair and should not be interpreted as allowing concentrated loading on a single component.
The seat and back use a flame-retardant material, providing a practical surface for healthcare, homecare, and institutional environments.
The back folds down to reduce the chair's size for vehicle transportation, storage, caregiver handling, and home use where storage space is limited. The folding design works together with the chair's carry straps to make lifting and folding easier.
The attendant locks are mounted at the push handles, allowing the caregiver to engage the brakes without reaching down toward the wheels.
The chair features removable flip-back desk-length padded arms. The flip-back design is useful when the chair needs to be positioned close to a table, desk, bed, or another transfer surface. The arms can also facilitate lateral transfers when appropriately performed by a caregiver.
These allow the footrests to be moved out of the way during transfers and can be detached when the chair needs to be transported or stored.

Functional and lightweight
Very good on smooth surfaces but struggles to roll over slightest bumps or smooth stone surfaces. Good for the price but now wish I spent a little more for sturdier roller.
