Tilite TWIST Lightweight Wheelchair Innovation

By including an infinite adjustment mechanism, the Tru-Fit system expands the universe of adjustability. Because you are not limited to a series of pre-set holes with the Tru-Fit system, you may fine-tune the fit of your wheelchair. If your child is tired, a hill is ahead, or you simply want to help, the TWIST Center-Mounted Push Handle is a great solution. The handle is height-adjustable and readily removed, and it is only present when you want it.

Other chairs claim to expand, but require fresh parts or growth kits. The TWIST incorporates growth. The TWIST is available in sizes ranging from 8′′ x 8′′ to 15′′ x 16′′ and offers 2′′ of seat width and 3′′ of seat depth expansion.

Order Details to choose the right Options for your Tilite Twist Wheelchair

1a) Measure Seat Width Range:

Measure from outside of seat tube at back post to the outside of the opposite seat tube at back post. Seat Width grows 2". All upholstery (except cushion) and components (except TiShaft Back Release Bar) needed to grow Seat Width are included. TiShaft Back Release Bar is available at no charge upon request.

1b) Measure Seat Depth Range

Measure from front of back post to the front edge of seat sling. Front edge of seat sling will be 1.5" from the beginning of the bend on No Taper and Tapered Frames, and 2" from the beginning of the bend on Abduction Frames. Seat Depth grows 3". All Upholstery (except cushion) and components needed to grow Seat Depth are included.

1c) Measure Front Seat Height

Measure from floor to top of seat tube at front edge of seat sling. Adjusts in 0.5" increments.

1d) Measure Rear Seat Height

Measure from floor to top of seat tube at the back post. Adjusts in 0.5" increments.

1e) Measure Front Angle

Measure angle from frame front to floor.

1f) Measure Seat to Footrest

Measure from front edge of seat sling to top rear of footrest.

1g) Measure Standard Front End

Footrest Width: Measure from inside of front frame tube to inside of opposite front frame tube.

1h) Measure Seat Back Height

Measure from top of back post to top of seat tube at rear of frame.

1i) Measure Seat Back Angle

Measure angle from front of back post to floor. Angles greater than 90 degrees will be more open, and angles less than 90 degrees will be more closed. To approximate the angle from the back post to the seat, subtract 2 degrees from measurement for every 0.5" dump.

1j) Measure Rear Wheel Spacing

Measure from outside of seat back post to inside of rear tire.
