Need a tough wheel that you can count on? The SLX 24 Spoke wheel is known for its durability and superior performance. Ready to give and take hits, this wheel is reinforced with a total count of 24 spokes in our 4mm thick spoke. Built for aggressive offense and assertive defense.
Compared to our SPOX wheel models, the SLX models feature thicker spokes measuring in at 4mm thick. Besides being the most durable on the market, the SLX 24 Spoke is also a responsive, lightweight, quick accelerating and maneuvering wheel. For the cross-laced version of the SLX, check out the XSLX wheels. Using a 5/8” axle? Look into the compatible SLX R-10 or XSLX R-10 wheels.

Engineered for ultra-low rotational weight, the Spinergy SLX wheels drastically reduce the force needed to propel a manual chair. This lightweight efficiency minimizes upper-body fatigue, helping to protect shoulders, wrists, and arms from repetitive strain injuries over long distances.
Patented PBO Fiber Spokes for Unmatched Strength
Each SLX wheel features 18 patented PBO (Polyphenylene Bensobisoxazole) fiber spokes. Containing over 30,000 strands of fiber per spoke, PBO spokes are three times stronger than stainless steel at half the weight. Their unique tensile properties allow them to flex under impact without losing tension, ensuring incredible impact resistance.
Vibration-Dampening Technology
Unlike rigid steel spokes that transmit ground feedback directly to the rider, PBO spokes absorb road chatter and rough terrain impacts. This built-in shock absorption creates a noticeably smoother ride, preventing muscle spasms, joint discomfort, and daily body fatigue over cobblestones, thresholds, and outdoor pavement.

To fit individual seating geometries, the Spinergy SLX is available in standard wheel diameters including 22", 24", 25", and 26" (501, 540, 559, and 590 mm). The rim profile accommodates a vast selection of high-pressure pneumatic, solid, or hybrid tires, as well as various ergonomic handrim options (such as Natural Fit, Surge, or tab-mount aluminum handrims).
