Frog Legs Uni Tine Wheelchair Forks
Priced Individually
Frog Legs Uni-Tine Caster Forks were developed as a option for low-profile wheelchairs where our traditional shock absorbing fork is too tall. Although it is not a suspension fork, The Uni-Tine caster forks allow users who are currently confined to narrow small wheels to upgrade to our wider, more functional EPIC Soft Roll wheels that are better suited to handle a variety of surfaces such as cobblestones, carpet, and gravel.

Frog Legs Uni Tine Wheelchair Forks Features:
- The single prong is located on the inside, making it less likely to catch on debris and turn the wheel sideways.
- The inside prong is less likely to scratch items such as cabinets, door frames, or furniture.
- Great looking as the wheel appears to free-float.
- Makes it easier to remove and clean your wheels.
- Never struggle with hair in your axles again.
- Ideal for carpet and outdoor surfaces
- Available in black or silver as standard colors. Some custom colors available by contacting our customer service department.

Frog-Legs Uni-Tine Forks Buyer’s Guide
The Frog-Legs Uni-Tine Forks are high-performance wheelchair caster forks designed to reduce vibration and absorb shock over uneven surfaces. Engineered with an innovative single-tine layout, these components replace standard dual-tine caster forks to minimize overall weight while providing superior ride comfort. By smoothing out everyday bumps and obstacles, the system helps lower physical stress on the user during daily mobility.
Frog-Legs Shock Absorption Technology
At the center of this design is specialized vibration dampening engineered to filter out harsh impact before it reaches the frame. Standard rigid caster setups transmit ground feedback directly to the rider's legs and back, causing fatigue over time. The Frog-Legs system utilizes a responsive polyurethane elastomer core that absorbs impact from cracked pavement, door thresholds, and rough terrain to deliver a noticeably smoother ride.
Uni-Tine Single-Sided Caster Design
The unique single-tine architecture sets these caster components apart from traditional two-sided fork designs. By mounting the caster wheel on a single side, the Uni-Tine configuration reduces structural material, lowering the overall weight of the front rig without sacrificing strength. This open profile also simplifies cleaning and maintenance by eliminating the tight gaps where dirt, hair, and debris frequently tangle in traditional forks.
Wheelchair Performance and Energy Reduction
Upgrading the front rigging of a manual wheelchair directly impacts propulsion efficiency and overall energy expenditure. The dampening action keeps the caster wheel in consistent contact with the ground, reducing flutter and preventing sudden stops when hitting small obstacles. By maintaining forward momentum, this fork setup requires less physical effort to roll through challenging environments, making long-distance pushing easier.
Suspension Durability and Precision Engineering
Machined from high-strength aluminum, the assembly is built to withstand repeated daily wear and heavy impacts. The integrated polymer suspension mechanism is engineered for reliable recoil, offering long-lasting performance without requiring frequent adjustment. The durable construction resists corrosion and mechanical failure, making it a reliable upgrade for both active everyday users and outdoor wheelers.
Streamlined Profile and Obstacle Clearance
The low-profile aesthetic gives the front frame a clean, modern look while serving a functional purpose. Without an outer fork arm, the design provides improved lateral clearance around narrow doorways, tight corners, and furniture legs. This reduced footprint minimizes the likelihood of the front rigging snagging on external objects, allowing for smoother navigation through crowded indoor environments.
Frog-Legs Uni-Tine Forks Review
The Frog-Legs Uni-Tine Forks deliver an effective combination of shock absorption, reduced weight, and modern engineering for everyday wheelchair users. Featuring a single-sided arm design, responsive elastomer dampening, and rugged aluminum construction, these forks significantly enhance ride smoothness and reduce upper-body fatigue. They offer an ideal caster upgrade for anyone seeking greater comfort, improved rolling efficiency, and low-maintenance reliability.
