Notably, using the AL500 requires no alterations to your power wheelchair. This lift is also designed to function seamlessly with both Class II and Class III hitch receivers.
For securement, the AL500 incorporates four self-tensioning, rapid-release retracting straps equipped with hooks, ensuring your power wheelchair remains firmly in place.

It capably handles everything from compact travel power wheelchairs to full-sized models and even smaller heavy-duty units. The expansive aluminum platform conveniently folds against the vehicle's rear when not in use, facilitating easy garage parking.
In its unloaded and folded state, the lift extends only 12 inches from the bumper. The optional Swing-Away feature enhances accessibility to the vehicle's trunk or liftgate for any vehicle equipped with a Class III hitch, adding a mere 2 inches to the folded lift's depth.
Some states may mandate the display of your license plate on the exterior of your lift. It is your responsibility to verify your state's requirements. If plate display is needed, we suggest adding the AL 901 XL to your purchase.

Harmar Mobility Warranty
Harmar Mobility warrants its lift products against defects in material, mechanical and electrical component (parts), excluding labor costs, batteries, paint and covers, for a period of three (3) years from date of retail purchase, provided that the products have been installed, maintained and operated properly. This warranty does not cover defects in vehicles on which Harmar products are installed or defects in Harmar products caused by defects in any part of the vehicle upon which the product is installed. This warranty does not cover maintenance or adjustments. Harmar will not be charged for labor, consequential damage or repair expenses. Harmar will not, under any circumstances, be liable for the loss of the use of its products or loss of time. This warranty becomes null and void if the product has been lost, damaged by accident, over stressed, misused and/or neglected, or if the product has been modified in any way. Defective parts must be returned, prepaid, to Harmar at the address listed above, for inspection prior to credit, repair or replacement, at Harmar’s option. Harmar’s sole obligation and the exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to such credit, repair or replacement.
