The cues can be personalized even more with the Rollz app. Some Parkinson’s patients might stop responding to the same repeating cues due to prolonged exposure to those stimuli.

As a countermeasure, the metronome’s tone height and cue activation can be mixed in the app to create a random pattern. The variation and unpredictability prevent habituation.
