The Adjustable Solid Seat's versatile hardware allows the wheelchair seat to be raised, lowered, or angled up to 1.5" to provide the best seated position for you.
Lower the seat to accommodate taller cushions or to increase floor access for foot propulsion. Raise the seat to improve positioning of your lower extremities. Angle the seat to configure and improve positioning of your upper body.
For times when you need additional adjustability, the Drop Seat hardware option allows the seat to be lowered 2.5".

Important Compatibility Information
The JAY Adjustable Solid Seat, especially the Drop Seat functionality, is not compatible with all wheelchairs. Careful consideration of the following limitations is crucial:
- Folding Wheelchairs: May limit the Drop Seat functionality. Interference with the cross brace is possible when the seat is lowered, potentially restricting the drop to 1" or less.
- Rigid Wheelchairs: All rigid chairs with a welded strut on the seat will prevent attachment of the Adjustable Solid Seat. Neither the standard adjustability nor the Drop Seat functionality will work on these chairs.
- Seat Rail Shape: The seat rails must be round or oval, and between 7/8" to 1" in diameter or width. Rectangular seat rails are incompatible.
- Zippie/Zippie 2 Wheelchairs: May interfere with strut tubes when the Drop Seat is used and the seat height is lowered.
- Positioning & Pediatric Chairs: Chairs with struts may limit the Drop Seat functionality.
Seat Dimensions
The overall length of the seat may be up to 1" shorter on each side than the seat sling measurement. This should be taken into account when ordering.

JAY Adjustable Solid Seat Accessories
The Lip Kit helps secure the cushion to the solid seat, preventing it from shifting. It can be retrofitted onto an existing solid seat or ordered pre-installed with a new JAY Solid Seat.
For retrofitting, you'll need to drill two 7/32” holes in both the front and rear of the solid seat. If you purchase the JAY Solid Seat with the Lip Kit, it will be built onto the seat for you.
