Frog Legs Shock Absorbing Forks - Big Rigs
Wheel Drive Power Chairs
This shock absorbing powerhouse has same design and features of the Frog Legs Ultra-Sport with the strength and proportion to handle power chair and some adult tilt-in-space applications. Not only will this fork absorb nearly 80% of shock - it will improve your wheelchair's traction by keeping the drive wheels in better contact with the ground.
- Big Rigs were designed to replace our very popular BULLFROG (all hard points are the same).
- Suspension fork uses a "hinge" design encapsulating a high energy-absorbing polyurethane cylinder. The cylinder will flex to eliminate vibration and soften bumps by absorbing the force created when the front wheel strikes an object.
- 3 inches of arch travel allowing the front wheel to lift back, up and over obstacles and prevent pitching.
- Will not change the wheelchair's foot to floor dimensions. Custom stem bolt lengths are available to accommodate a variety of geometry requirements.
- Available in black or silver as standard colors. Some custom colors available by contacting our customer service department.

The Frog Legs Shock Absorbing Forks – Big Rigs are heavy-duty front caster forks designed to reduce vibration and absorb impact for wheelchair users navigating rough or uneven terrain. Engineered for high-weight applications and larger wheelchairs, these forks enhance both comfort and performance.
Designed for Heavy-Duty Wheelchairs
The Big Rigs forks are specifically built for larger wheelchairs or users requiring high-weight capacity setups. Their reinforced structure handles the extra stress of bariatric chairs or outdoor, off-road use. This added durability ensures long-term reliability without frame flex or failure.
Frog Leg Big Rig Shock Absorbing Forks Integrated Suspension
Each Big Rig fork includes a suspension system that compresses and rebounds to absorb shocks from curbs, cracks, and uneven terrain. This technology significantly reduces vibrations felt through the chair, protecting the user’s arms, shoulders, and back. It creates a smoother and more stable ride.
Compatibility
Big Rigs are designed to accommodate larger diameter caster wheels, often required for rugged surfaces or outdoor mobility. The forks allow for wider and taller casters that help roll over debris and gaps. This improves handling on gravel, grass, and brick paths.
Big Rig Shock Absorbing Forks Easy to Install
The Frog Legs shock absorbing forks are compatible with standard wheelchair forks and caster axles, making installation straightforward. Most models bolt directly into existing hardware without custom fittings.
Frog Legs Big Rigs Shock Absorbing Forks Durability
The Big Rigs forks feature an anodized surface that resists scratches, moisture, and corrosion. This finish holds up under rain, sweat, and daily cleaning. The long-lasting coating maintains the forks’ appearance over time.
Improved Responsiveness
The wide fork arms and responsive suspension provide confident handling at speed or on slopes. Users gain greater control over their steering and balance, especially when navigating fast turns or descents. These features make the chair feel more agile and responsive.
