TheResQUp™ originated from a specific concern that was directed to Dr. Peraza in the course of his patient care duties about how to raise fallen patients from the floor to chair level. Extensive research, demonstrations of the prototype ResQUp™ and discussions with other professional physical therapists and caregivers confirmed the need for such a fall recovery device. Patients need a way to help themselves, and caregivers need tools for safe patient handling that help mitigate physical injuries to them when assisting patients. ResQUp Do-It-Yourself Fall Recovery Features
Can be used independently or with minimal caregiver assistance - no lifting required! The only fall recovery device that is compact and portable, it folds into itself for storage and requires no assembly, electrical power, or batteries. A dust cover and Quick Start Guide are included.

Methods of Use Instructions
A fallen person uses the ResQUp by moving from the floor to each level of the device in turn, before finally ascending to a seat height, a wheelchair, or standing up directly from a seated position on the top level to a walker, rollator, or other patient assist. Any of the following three methods may be used safely. A wheelchair is used for illustrative purposes only.
Backwards
This method has the fallen person back up to the ResQUp and scoot up to each level, placing their hands on the padded handles to lift themselves up to wheelchair level with or without the use of their legs for strength.
This method requires more upper-body strength than the other methods.
Sideways
The fallen person turns to their strongest side and uses their elbows and at least one leg to push themselves up to each level of the ResQUp in turn, and then transfers to a wheelchair or seat.
This method requires some leg strength and less upper-body strength than the other methods.
Forwards
The fallen person moves forward up each level of the ResQUp, using the padded handles at each stage for maximum stability and balance.
This requires putting more pressure on the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and knees, but feels more natural for some users.

Finally i can get off the ground myself
The Resqup has allowed me to play with my kids on the floor and get out of the pool all independently. I really like how it folds up and can be easily stored away when not in use. There is no installation or putting it together it comes ready to use. Great quality product.

Well constructed, lightweight and easily stored
Have not used the Resqup steps with a patient yet, but they are much nicer than the bulky, heavy metal para ladder that we ordered in the past. The Resqup steps are of good quality construction, lightweight and easily stored. We would purchase again.
